We have rooms available in the University’s student accommodation. These are single rooms in 12-bed townhouses which are reserved for GUADEC attendees. The location is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre, but right opposite the conference venue.
The cost is around £43 per night for a room. We’ll be offering these rooms for sale using the registration system, so you can book a room at the time you register (or later if rooms are still available). Wifi is included. Meals are not included; the houses have social areas and kitchens but pots, pans and crockery are not provided. There are supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.
Access to the rooms is by stairs, but there are accessible rooms available on request. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you require an accessible room.
If you aren’t staying at the University itself, we recommend booking hotel rooms through Visit Manchester’s booking service. They have reserved rooms for us at guaranteed rates in a range of city centre hotels and you can book them directly through the Visit Manchester portal. There’s no commission charge included in the prices. These rooms must be booked by 29th June 2017 to get the guaranteed rates.
If you want to save money by sharing a twin room but don’t have anyone to partner with, we recommend adding your details to the accommodation collaboration page.
Accommodation in Manchester can fill up quickly, so book as early as you can.
